Governance Model

The leadership curriculum of the Master Board Programs is designed to offer interactive learning sessions which concentrate on the four pillars forming the foundation of an educational governance team. These pillars are 1) creating a VISION 2) developing a STRUCTURE 3) establising an ACCOUNTABILITY system; and 4) engaging in ADVOCACY

The Board creates a vision and formulates goals with the community's input to set the course of education for the district's schools.

The Board establishes policies which facilitate academic standards, budget priorities, and statutory mandates and creates an organizational framework and enviroment to achieve the district's vision.

VISION
  STRUCTURE

The Board through effective team work strives to create higher levels of student achievement by solving problems, working collaboratively, communicating clearly, and thinking clearly.

the focus - STUDENT LEARNING
The Board is uniquely positioned as the critical link between schools, parents, and the community and is empowered to listen to concerns, initiate conversations, and identify ways for achieving better academic results.

ACCOUNTABILITY
  ADVOCACY
The Board develops systems and processes to monitor results, evaluate the district's progress toward accomplising the vision, and informs the community about the progress.

The Board advocates for students and public education, involves the community in meaningful ways to set the vision and goals, and communicates information about policies, programs, and fiscal conditions.
